May Favourites!

Hi everyone!

It's time for May favourites and I can't believe summer has officially arrived! Are you guys excited or what! This month I've been loving some new products I recently purchased (check out my drugstore haul here) and also some of my all-time favourites.

Now that it's getting warmer outside, I try to stick to lighter foundations or tinted moisturizers, because otherwise I feel my makeup melting during the day. So I've been loving this one from NARS and I can't rave about this product enough. It's just perfect in my opinion! Check out my video review here

I've been pretty lazy recently, so instead of normal fake tan I've been using gradual tanners. You don't have to wash them off the next morning, which is a great bonus for me! I love this one from L'Oreal because it can be used both for the face and body. It builds up a really nice natural tan and makes your skin look really healthy and moisturized.

This is another product I mentioned in my recent haul and I'm actually really impressed with it! For £3.99 it's a great bronzer! It's matte and has a natural brown undertone, so it won't make you look orange!

This Soap&Glory eye pencil is quickly becoming one of my all time favourites. It's a very rich and creamy consistency, highly pigmented and lasts all day. I've been using the dark olive colour on my top lid instead of the traditional black eyeliner, and it's been working really nicely!

These two lip products I've been using non-stop all month! The Bourjois lipgloss has the most gorgeous colour. It's super glossy, moisturizing for the lips and very longlasting, so you really can't go wrong! And then the L'Oreal lipstick is such an unusual colour that I've had quite a few people ask me what I'm wearing on my lips. It's a coral pink colour with the prettiest golden shimmer, so your lips will definitely get noticed!

I've been absolutely in love with this L'Oreal nail polish! I already talked about the Spring/Summer collection of nail polishes that L'Oreal came out with. The range of colours is huge and the lasting power really impressed me. My nails didn't start chipping for a week, which is pretty amazing for a drugstore nail polish! I bought quite a few colours and this one in particular has been my favourite during the month of May!

And finally I have this Hemp Hand Protector from The Body Shop.  I've heard so many good things about it and now I know why! I usually apply it before bed and in the morning I wake up with the softest hands! I don't think I have ever tried such a moisturizing hand cream! I would really recommend it to you guys if you haven't tried it already.

Casual Spring OOTD: Zara & Topshop

Shirt-Zara, Jeans-Topshop, Heels-TKMaxx, Bag-DKNY, Earrings-Warehouse

Hi everyone!

I haven't done an OOTD for a while, so here is something I wore a few days ago. I recently bought this olive coloured shirt form Zara and I'm absolutely in love with it! The material is so unusual...it feels soft like silk, yet the fabric is quite thick. And the golden studs are just gorgeous! So here I'm wearing it as a jacket with a lemon coloured top underneath. I paired it with some black skinny jeans and neutral heels to complete the look.

hope you guys are having a lovely weekend and I'll see you next week :)

Montagne Jeunesse Face Masks Review

Hi everyone!

If you saw my spring skincare routine video (click here), then you will know that I am obsessed with the Montagne Jeunesse Face Masks and I always use them when I have time. So I'm really excited to share with you my thoughts on this new range that they came out with. It's called the Skin Heroes Range and it's basically for all types of problem skin. Whether you have dry, oily, sensitive or acne prone skin, you will definitely find a mask that will work for you!

This new range also comes with a 2-step system. First you have the mask treatment and then the Rapid Action moisturizer, so you can pamper your skin as much as you like and get double the benefits! These masks are also all natural, suitable for vegetarians and cruelty free; plus you can now buy them in ASDA.

Check out the Montagne Jeunesse Skin Heroes range here or visit their facebook page for beauty tips & advice + Fab Friday Giveaways here

First, I have the Ultra Hydrating Mask for dry skin, which I actually tried yesterday evening. I must admit I was very impressed! Not only did it smell amazing but it left my skin feeling soft and hydrated. I didn't feel the need to apply moisturizer, which is pretty amazing since my skin always feel tight and uncomfortable after cleansing. So for those of you with dry skin, this will be a delicious treat!

There is also a Break-Out Mask in this range, which is perfect for problem skin and for those of you with acne problems. I do suffer from occasional break-outs myself, so this was great for me as well. This mask contains tea tree, which is a well known acne treatment; it will kill any bacteria you may have on your face and soothe the skin at the same time.

This Shine Control Mask came in handy, as I have combination skin, so my T-zone can get oily throughout the day. It's a mud mask, so it gives your skin a deep cleanse, leaving it squeaky clean! I also really enjoyed the Balancing Moisturizer, as it left my skin matte yet hydrated at the same time. So for those of you with oily skin, this is a must-have!

This next one is a Peel Off mask, which if you've tried such masks before, you will know just how satisfying they are! It almost feels like you are removing the top layer of your skin, as your face feels so soft and smooth afterwards. This particular mask contains tea tree and witch hazel, so it's great for oily skin as well as sensitive. The Rapid Action Moisturizer felt very soothing and gave my skin a healthy glow.

Finally, this new range comes with Deep Cleansing Nose Pore Strips. I was really impressed with these actually, as they successfully removed any blackheads I had on my nose. All you have to do is wet your nose, apply the strip and after 10-15 minutes you are left with a deeply cleansed nose. What more could you ask for!

Drugstore Beauty Haul: Revlon, Bourjois, L'Oreal & More!

Hi everyone!

I have collected quite a few beauty products over the past few weeks, as I had free time to do some shopping. So I thought I would show you guys what I bought!

Check out my video review here

Bourjois recently came out with a new foundation, which I just had to buy! I am a huge fan of Bourjois and their foundations in particular (Healthy Mix & Healthy Mix Serum are my absolute favourites), so I had to see what this new foundation was all about. I haven't tried it yet but it looks very promising! I also bought the Bourjois Volumizer Mascara, as I've heard so many great things about it both on Youtube and on beauty blogs; so hopefully it will live up to it's name!

Just like everyone else I fell victim to these Revlon Lip Butters; I ended up buying three! But I don't regret it one single bit, as the colours are absolutely gorgeous; these lip butters are very rich, creamy, moisturizing and highly pigmented.

I also bought 2 L'Oreal lipsticks; one is a pretty orange pink shade with a golden shimmer going through. It looks really unusual on the lips for some reason, but in a good way! So I'm looking forward to wearing it during spring and summer. The other lipstick is from their new range and it comes in a soft barbie pink shade. It smells of sweet berries which I love, and the formula is very rich and hydrating as well.

Moving on to nail polish, I have a stunning shade by Models Own. I caught a glimpse of it when walking past the counter and I instantly fell in love! The colour is so unusual and I can't wait to wear it during the warmer months! I also bought 2 from L'Oreal, as there was a ''3 for 2'' offer in Boots and I was previously really impressed with the formula of these nail polishes. I chose really simple classic shades, let's hope they will be as good and long-lasting as my other ones!

Models Own: Indian Ocean
104 Beige Countess & 106 Versaillesgold

I ran out of my Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder, so I had to buy a new one. I absolutely love this product, as it costs £3.99 but it works wonders! My face stays matte all day and it doesn't break me out or clog pores, so this is definitely my holy grail product! I also decided to try their Natural Bronzer; it looks like a very natural brown shade, so I think it will be great for both bronzing and contouring the face.

I was on the lookout for a good off white eye pencil, since Laura Mercier discontinued their one; and I stumbled on this Soap&Glory pencil. I haven't tried their makeup before, so I didn't know what to expect, but I was very impressed! It is a very soft creamy eye pencil and it lasts all day even on the waterline, which is pretty amazing!

Finally, I bought the John Frieda Hair Mist, which is from their new Full Repair range. It's supposed to repair the ends of your hair, which I definitely do need; so we will see how that goes! And then I also thought I would try the face moisurizer from Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula. It is a very natural product for sensitive skin, so you really can't go wrong; it's around £5.00 for a huge 100ml tube. Plus, I love their famous body butter so I trust them to make a great face product as well!

Top 5 Favourite Spring Nail Polishes

Hi everyone!

Today I want to share with you my favourite nail polishes for spring. I thought it would be a fun post to do, since during the warmer months I tend to go for really bright and vibrant shades. Don't we all? I must admit I did spend some time narrowing it down to just 5 but I did manage to do it!

Check out my video review here

First, I have a gorgeous pastel shade by Rimmel. I've been really loving pastel colours; I feel like they are a great alternative to all the crazy bright nail polishes I've seen people wear! It's also a huge trend for Spring/Summer 2012, and not only for nail polish but for fashion and for makeup in general. So all the drugstore brands and even some high end names have released some gorgeous pastel shades!

Rimmel - 500 Peppermint
I also have a L'oreal nail polish in a cute strawberry milkshake colour. I was surprised that it didn't even start chipping for around 5 days, which is pretty amazing for a drugstore nail polish! I've been pretty much wearing it non-stop, as it makes your nails look really clean and polished.
L'oreal - 202 Marieantoinette

I picked a Sally Hansen nail polish in a hot pink barbie shade, although on the nails it looks more of a warm toned orange pink. Unfortunately, this brand is quite difficult to find here in England, which is very sad! Not only are these nail polishes a reasonable price, but you get a huge bottle and the quality is amazing. This particular shade is highly pigmented and lasts pretty well too.

Sally Hansen - Ballet Rouge
Essie is one of my favourite nail polish brands, so it's not surprising that I chose it for springtime. It's a lot darker than the all the other colours I chose, but for some reason it just reminds of spring. Perhaps I'm relating the two-toned shade to green leaves and trees? But nevertheless, it's a gorgeous colour; the formula is just perfect, as you can even get away with wearing one coat!

Essie - 97 Trophy Wife
OPI - Cozu-Melted in the Sun

Finally I have an OPI nail polish and this one is
probably my favourite at the moment. It's just such an unusual shade! I always get compliments when I have it on my nails, so it's definitely a winner! The formula of this is very sheer, but once you apply those 2-3 coats, you get a professional looking manicure.

Tell me what your favourite shades are for spring and what nail polish brands you've been loving recently!

The Body Shop Haul

Hi everyone!

I was at the opening of the new Body Shop store on Oxford Street and they were very kindly giving out free gift bags full of awesome goodies! I ended up buying some things as well, which wasn't my original plan! But who can resist such gorgeous products?

Watch my video review here

Check out their 50% off sale and get a free mascara with your purchase here

This Warming Mineral Mask was highly recommended to me by the lovely lady on the counter. She had really bad acne prone skin and this product supposedly helped her out. It is a clay treatment mask, which means it gets rid of all the blackheads, unclogs pores and removes any dead skin cells. So I can't wait to try it out and give my skin a really deep clean! Besides, self-warming masks always feel like a luxurious facial, which is always a bonus!

Next, I have a Hemp Hand Protector, which I purchased for half price. Bargain! It is an award-winning moisturizer and I've heard so many great things about it, so I decided to give it a try. My hands are always dry no matter how much I moisturize them, so let's hope this product works it's magic!

A also bought a set of 3 soaps for £6. Not that I particularly need soap! I just know that it will smell delicious and be very hydrating for my hands, so you really can't go wrong!

I have to admit I was never really interested in the Body Shop makeup collection, but for some reason this new lipstick range caught my eye. The packaging is very simple and classic, and the formula is supposed to be long-lasting and moisturizing for your lips. I decided on a soft pearly pink shade, which I think will work perfectly for everyday!

The final item I purchased with my own money was the Chocomania Body Butter, which is my absolute favourite! This is my second time buying it and I can't get enough. No only is it super hydrating, but the smell is absolutely gorgeous. If you love the smell of chocolate then you will fall in love with this product!

Moving on to my gift bag, I got a 50 ml sample of The Body Shop Mango Body Butter. I actually tried it in the shop and I was blown away by the smell! I love to eat mangos, so I definitely wouldn't mind smelling like one! They also gave me 3 different lip butters, which I've been using for a few days now and I'm really impressed! I apply some before I go to bed, and in the morning I wake up with perfectly smooth and hydrated lips. So I would definitely recommend The Body Shop lip butters, especially when they're quite cheap and the little pots last for ever!

They also included a little sample of their Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover, which I was really happy about, since my current one is running out. It's supposed to soften and condition not only your skin but your eyelashes as well, which is definitely something new and interesting. We'll see how that works out!

And finally I received two hair products both for fine hair lacking volume: a shampoo and a conditioner. It's bizarre how they got my hair type right, but I'm not complaining! These two items are both very natural and without any harsh chemicals, which is always good. I sure hope they will help volumize my hair and make it soft and silky at the same time. Who knows, maybe they will be my new haircare essentials!

So that's about it for my beauty haul! Hope you guys are having a lovely day and I'll talk to you soon!
