Side Braid with a Twist: Summer Hair Tutorial

Hi everyone!

This hair style was requested by some of you guys, so I thought I would share my technique. It's actually really simple, featuring a side braid with a small twist. I love to wear this hair style during the summer, because it gets all the hair away from my face, which is important when the weather is super hot and sticky!

Check out my tutorial here

Tell me what you think! What hair styles do you like to wear during the summer time?

Summer OOTD: Collab w/ MsBrittanybrat

Hi everyone!

Today I have another OOTD, but this time it's a collaboration with Brittany or MsBrittanybrat as she's known on youtube. Our theme was ''Summer Dresses'', so I chose this flowy pastel pink one from TKMaxx paired with some nude heels. My earrings are from Accessorize; bracelet and ring from Simply Silver.

Check out my video here where you can find a link to Brittany's OOTD too!

Summer Drugstore Haul!

Hi everyone!

Are you ready for a summer drugstore haul? Here it goes...

Check out my video here

First I picked up this body moisturizer from Garnier. It's their new gel-cream texture, which makes it perfect for the summer time! It absorbs in seconds and has a very pleasant smell; plus I got it for half price!

I finally decided to get this shampoo, which is very controversial, because some people rave about it and others absolutely hate it! So I thought I would give it a try myself, since my roots are growing out and I don't want to damage my hair by dyeing it. Tell me if you guys have this product and what your experiences are with it!

I also saw that Garnier came out with a new BB cream, this time for oily/combination skin. I never purchased the original one, so I'm excited to see how this works out!

I also bought some L'Oreal products as they were ''3 for 2'' in Boots. I always see people raving about this True Match foundation, so I decided to give it a go. I actually tried it a few years ago and was really disappointed; the formula was too thick and sticky on my face, plus I couldn't find a shade to match my skin tone. Let's hope it works out this time!

L'Oreal recently came out with this new version of their Volume Collagen Mascara. I doubt it's going to last 24H, but the brush is massive so it looks promising.

This lip gloss was my free product out of the 3. I decided to go for a nude pink shade, which looked super shimmery when I tried it in store. I think it will look gorgeous now during the summer!

These 2 nail polishes I actually got for free in a magazine. How cool is that!? The one on the left is a gorgeous pastel blue and I've been wearing it non-stop. This second one is from a brand I've never heard of before called Ciate. It's actually an expensive high end nail polish and the colour is a pretty muted pink!

And then finally I purchased 3 of these Maybelline Pop Sticks. I really should have stuck to one but oh well! I fell in love with the packaging and the whole concept, so I can't wait to try them!

Tell me if you guys want to see a review on any of these products!

Hi everyone!

Today I have a fun summer outfit to share with you guys. It's been really hot recently, so a cropped shirt came in handy! I paired it up with some loose floral print trousers and a pair of nude heels.

Crap Products!

Hi everyone!

Today I want to do something a little different, so instead of talking about my favourites, I want to share with you guys some products that I was really disappointed in.

Click here to see me talk about these crap products

First I have 2 mascaras, which I really wanted to like but just couldn't! The one from Revlon made my eyelashes look short and stubby, which I've never experienced before in any other mascara. And then the Volumizer mascara from Bourjois was beyond crap! The brush in Step 1 didn't do anything, whereas Step 2 applied way too much product. I ended up with clumpy eyelashes that stuck together to look like one big eyelash. How gross is that!

I was excited when I first bought this Maybelline Lip Stain but it turned out to be very disappointing. It stayed on my lips less than any lipstick or lipgloss, and was gone after one hour. It's sad because the scent is delicious and the colour looks really flattering on the lips!

The thing that bugged me about this Stila foundation is the formula. It seems like there's oil and water in there which obviously doesn't mix well, so you end up with blotchy skin. I had parts of my face that had full coverage foundation on them and others that had no product at all. What's up with that?!

I was expecting great things from this Bourjois nail polish, because I absolutely love this brand and their products never disappoint. But this was definitely an exception! I admit that the colour looked gorgeous but the lasting power was non-existent. As soon as I applied it, my nails started chipping and the next day I woke up with nearly nothing left on my nails. Tut tut Bourjois!

And don't even get me started on these imPRESS nails! I couldn't even get them to fit, as they were way too small for my own nails. They should really offer a wider selection of sizes because everyone's nails are different. Did you guys have the same problem or is it just me?

This Dry Shampoo by James Brown was a huge disappointment and it's not even a cheap brand! It made my hair even more oily than it already was, as well as making it all sticky and disgusting. I don't recommend it al all!

And then this TRESemme spray did absolutely nothing for my hair. I don't even know why I bought it, since I'm not a fan of TRESemme products! It felt like putting water in my hair, as I didn't feel any volume or texture at all. So don't waste your money guys! This is totally CRAP!

I apologize for such a depressing blog post haha! I hope this will at least help you guys save some money and not waste it on these products!

May Glossybox Review + 1 Year Anniversary!

Hi everyone!

It's the 1 year anniversary of Glossybox, so this month everyone received 6 products instead of 5. How lovely is that!

Order your box now and get 15% off by clicking here and entering my code  AFFJUNE15OFF  at the checkout

Click here for my video review

This first product by Uniq One has done wonders for my hair! It has 10 treatments all in one and basically gives your hair everything it needs. My hair felt super soft and healthy afterwards, so I really recommend this to you guys! I haven't actually used the Noble Isle shower gel but it looks very luxurious and smells gorgeous. So I can't wait to try it!

This Weleda product is a mystery, as I have no idea what it is. There isn't a single word of English on either the box or the tube! Tell me if you guys know what this is, because I absolutely love this brand but I don't know how to use this product!

These Let's Go lashes were really lovely to use. The shape really opened up my eyes and looked surprisingly natural. So I will be buying me some more of these!

This little mirror was actually the anniversary gift from Glossybox and I was happy to receive it! I always seem to be losing these type of compact mirrors, and this one is very small and lightweight, making it perfect for your handbag.

And finally the May box came with 2 perfume samples both from Lolita Lempicka. The one on the right smells a bit like Diet Coke to me, which is a little strange but it's still a nice smell. And then L'Eau en Blanc has notes of cherry, violets and vanilla, which I absolutely adore! I need to stop myself from buying the full size, as I have way too many perfumes already!

Tell me what you guys think of the May Glossybox. Are you impressed with the products?

Revlon Lip Butters Review

Hi everyone!

Today I'm finally doing the highly requested Revlon Lip Butters review! I've had them for a while now, so I feel like I've formed an opinion and now I can share it with you guys.

Want to see me talk about these lip butters? Then click here

Packaging: Looks just like a classic lipstick, which I think is nice! The lids are all different shades and somewhat represent the colour of the actual lipstick. One thing I found though, was that it was quite difficult to open these lip butters. Maybe I got a faulty batch? The lids were very stiff, so I got a little annoyed with that!

Formula:  Rich and creamy, I was really impressed! The application was nice and smooth, after which my lips felt very moisturized. However, I wouldn't recommend these lip butters if you have dry and chapped lips, because they emphasise the dry areas even more and make your lips look clumpy.

Colour: The pigmentation actually varies between all the shades, because I found some colours to be more rich than others. But you definitely get a lot more pigment than a standard lip balm or lip butter, which is why I would describe these Revlon ones as something in between.

Scent: I could smell a hint of some sweetness but I'm guessing they are supposed to be fragrance free, which is great for those of you with sensitive skin. But I personally would have preferred some delicious fruity fragrance, something that would tempt you to eat it off your lips!

Lasting Power: Quite impressive actually! If you don't eat or purposely wipe the colour off, then these lip butters will stay put. And they will look exactly the same as when you first applied them!

090 Sweet Tart
This colour I found to be the most pigmented. It's a very bright coral pink shade so it's perfect for summer!

045 Cotton Candy
This one is more of a muted pink shade but it has golden shimmer going through, which makes it look stunning on the lips. It's a little more sheer but still pretty pigmented!

095 Creme Brulee
This final one is perfect for those of you into nude colours. I really enjoyed wearing this for every day as it's not too bright but still adds a little colour. So if you're unsure about which shade to pick, then go for this one! It's a safe choice and the neutral tone will suit everyone.

So overall, I would definitely recommend these Revlon Lip Butters. With over 20 shades to chose from, you will surely find something you like!
