Review: Garnier BB Cream for Combination/Oily Skin

Hi everyone!

I'm finally doing the highly requested Garnier BB Cream review! This is the new version that recently came out and it's for combination to oily skin. I was really excited to try this out and now after about 2 weeks I'm ready to share my thoughts with you guys.

Check out my video review here

Packaging: Comes in a plastic squeezy tube with a long applicator. Be careful not to store it upright, because the pressure causes the product to burst out of the tube when you open it. I also nearly confused this with the Eye Roll-on because the box is nearly identical!

Colour: Comes in two shades 'Light' and 'Medium', which can be annoying if you have darker skin. But the colours are neutral without any harsh undertones, so they can easily suit a lot of skin tones. And don't forget that you can always blend this BB Cream with your favourite foundation or just add a bit of moisturizer for a sheer finish.

Texture: I found this to be very light and runny, which means you have plenty of time to blend it into your skin and a small amount goes a long way. It doesn't feel cakey and sits like a second skin.

Finish: On my skin this product had a matte finish, which I did expect, because this is targeted towards combination/oily skin. I wouldn't recommend this for normal/dry skin as it would stick to dry areas and emphasize any flakiness you may have.

Lasting Power: It stayed on my skin for around 10 hours and I didn't need to apply any powder throughout the day. So even if you have super oily skin, this will work really nicely!

Scent: At first you get a strong paint smell which evaporates after about 10 minutes, but if you have sensitive skin then you might want to be careful.

Coverage: Light/Medium and easily buildable to Full. So if you have any problems with your skin like acne or pigmentation, this will definitely cover everything up. And you can always apply two layers to areas that need more coverage.

So overall, I'm really impressed with this Garnier BB Cream and I would definitely recommend it to you guys! Give it a go and you won't be disappointed :)

Glossybox Review: April Edition ( Natural Beauty)

Hi everyone!

My April Glossybox finally arrived and I was happy to discover that 'Natural Beauty' was the theme for this month. All the products featured were organic, cruelty free and without any harsh chemicals; which is definitely something I look for in my makeup and skincare!

So first I got the Ayuuri Natural Body Wash in Coconut. I know that some girls received different scents so I was happy with my one, since I absolutely love the smell of coconuts! I have rather dry skin on my body so I always apply moisturizer after taking a shower, but with this body wash I didn't feel like I had to. My skin didn't feel tight afterwards but silky smooth and hydrated, so I was very impressed!

Caudalie is a brand I've heard of before, but I never really gave it much attention. Maybe it's because I assumed it was targeted at mature skin? I really don't know why I thought that because this serum was perfect for my skin type. I have combination skin, so I do sometimes get dry patches around my cheek area; which is where this S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum came in handy! I applied it twice a day under my daily moisturizer and I really noticed a difference! I felt like this serum put moisture back into my skin and gave it a healthy glow.

I received the Inika Eye Liner in the colour 08 Peacock Blue, which is such a vibrant shade! I can't wait to try it out! Let's hope the weather get's nice and warm, so that I can actually wear bright makeup and not look like a freak. I might do a makeup tutorial featuring this gorgeous shade? Tell me what you think!

I also got the Rambling Rose Balm, which I originally thought was solely for the lips, but it turns out you can use it on your face and body as well! I never really tried such a product before, so I was pleased to test this one out. First off, the smell is amazing! I wish you guys could smell it through your computer screen! It reminds me of a SPA or some expensive beauty treatment. I love the fact that it's 100% organic and cruelty free, I feel like that really makes a difference. But the formula is great; it's really rich and moisturizing.

And last but certainly not least, I received a little sample of the famous Kai body oil. I don't know if you guys know about this, but it's a scent used by many celebrities. I have read so many good things about this product! It features gardenia as one of the main notes, but to me it smells like freshly cut flowers. There's something about it that feels very luxurious and expensive, which is definitely reflected in how much Kai costs. But I would certainly recommend this gorgeous scent to you guys. If you have the chance to smell it, then definitely do!

NARS Tinted Moisturizer Review!

Hi everyone!

So I finally purchased the new NARS Tinted Moisturizer and I'm super excited to share with you my thoughts on it! I've had about a week to test it out and I feel like now I can write a full review. And if you want to see me ramble on then check out my video review here.

Packaging: comes in a lightweight plastic tube so easy to dispense the right amount of product, and perfectly fits in your handbag.
Formula: very hydrating, skin feels soft and comfortable all day.
Texture: lightweight, breathable and silky smooth on application.
Coverage: medium for a tinted moisturizer, easy to build up or mix in a little moisturizer for a sheer finish, gives a natural dewy finish, but if set with powder can stay matte throughout the entire day.
Skin Type: suitable for all, especially for oily/combination due to mattifying qualities.
Colour/Shade: not too many choices, some big gaps between shades, but easy to blend due to the sheerness of the formula.
Application: non-sticky, easy to blend, but do need quite a lot of product.
Propertiesoil free, paraben free, non-comedogenic, SPF 30, contains mineral rich seawater.

So overall I'm pretty impressed with this new NARS release. It has definitely taken the spot of my Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer and that's saying something! So be sure to check it out and get a sample from your local department store. And if you already have it then tell me what you think!

Have a lovely weekend!
